Hi can any one help in my search for George Miller, my dad's uncle.

Information i have is he was born about 1899. The 1939 census says 22 jun e 1899. He is living at 4 oaks crescent Chester le street durham. I think the address should be Don Crescent. His wife is Adelaide May pickering, and they have a son Thomas.

Who were your father's parents?

If George is a true uncle, one of them was his sibling.

Hi, my dad was adopted. His birth mother was Mary Ann pickering, she was George's sister in law.

My dad lived in London with his adopted family but they used to visit the family in Durham.

I have tried to find out what happened to Mary Ann Pickering but drawn a blank.

I have started to find what could be links between his biological and adopted family, so I am seeing if I can link things.

All very complicated.... :-|

So if his mum was Mary ann Pickering wouldn't his birth be reg as Pickering ?

Or am I reading it wrong Mary ann Pickering was a sister of George's wife Adelaide
