Frank Michael Selwood (Sometimes SeLLwood).
1906–1962
Birth 14 MAY 1906 • Salford, Greengate, Manchester, England
Death 1962 • Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Can anyone help me please with death details or any information regarding Frank Michael Selwood.

I believe I have traced his family going back and have all these details but I would like to know when he went over to Australia and what happened to him between then and his death in 1962.

I believe he married in Melbourne, Australia in 1931 to a Jean May Wilson and that he spent many years in the Navy.

In 1911 he was in a Home for destitute children in Culcheth, Lancashire.

I know his parents were Frank Selwood b. 1881 and Minnie Kirby (I believe born c. 1875, though I am not sure of this as yet.)

I cannot find either of these people on 1911, or their deaths.

I thought I had traced Minnie Kirby back through possible parents Nicholas Hewson Kirby and Mary Ann Dolphin but it appears 'that' Minnie married a John Ashcroft in 1901 (and was still with him on 1911 census) and 'my' Minnie Kirby married Frank Selwood in 1905 :-S :-S.

The only way to sort that is for me to buy yet another cert for 'their' marriage so please do not bother going backwards.

There appears to be another child born to them in 1908 - Lily (Lilly) Selwood who is in Hope Hospital, Pendleton in 1911 - This is the lady who is directly related to me.

The info I really need is a possible sighting of Frank and/or Minnie on 1911 + info on Frank Michael's travel to Australia + his time there and his death.
