strange but in census 1881 michael and elizabeth are there but in 1871 census says he is a widower then in 1891 he is with elizabeth again

Interestingly, the family tree owners seem to doubt that Elizabeth's surname was truly Costello ........ no-one has found her before her marriage to Michael hall.

Michael's first wife died in 1871 he married Eliz Costello in 1872 most of the childrens names from the marriage are new to the Hall family except Lancelot the first born died in 1882 and a son born that year was named Lancelot.
