Mary Jane Hanley’s father named as John Hanley on her MC.

But then we have a Johanna Hanlin m Matthias Waring in 1872
(Mia thought Edith's mother was Johanna)
She may have been a widow as her father is named as Thomas Richards. Alternatively he was her step-father.

Start with what you know, and where possible obtain certificates to confirm.

Older relatives are a mine of information, but sometimes things get confused.

For Edith's family, her DC would give her dob. Bear in mind that the information dies depend on the informants knowledge. Sometimes they give a wrong year of birth. presumably you already have a copy of her MC. Fathers occupations and the names if the witnesses can help find their families.

If the 1904 birth reg is correct, then you might consider purchasing it. That would confirm her mothers maiden name + her fathers occupation. That will help to confirm if the 1911 census is the right one.
