Hi does anyone have access to Canadian immigration records please /
My mothers sister Margaret Gough born 1903 Hawarden Flinshire. went to Toronto Canada about 1926-27 with a man called Jo Morris. Her son Gareth was born 1927 in Toronto. Margaret died 1948 and her son also passed.
In 1935 they were at this address ...1308 Queen St., Toronto, Ontario.

Hi Shirley. I only know he was Jo not sure what it was short for. They ran away together as he was married and she was pregnant. Her mother visited her in 1930 and my Mum and grandmother visited her in 1935.

On your previous thread you call her Megan.

I can't find any sign of them on immigration records. Do you suppose they used false names?

Hi Margee she was known as Megan to the family. maybe she went as Mrs Morris.

No mention of Margaret in the probate entry but you could send for a copy of the Will to see if there are any clues

Do you know anything at all about Jo Morris?

We know nothing about Jo Morris, just phoned the only living relative on mum's side and he said Margaret remarried someone Vernon, not sure if that was his christian or surname.

Hi Gritty thanks for looking, Vernon was Margaret's second husband he was in Swansea 1941 and 1944 with the army or airforce.
