Find Ancestors

My great grandfather was Francis William Griffin born c1884.. I do not know where he was born. I have his marriage cert. he married Evelyn Sybil Irene Wood (hilmorton/bulkington) in 1915 in Rugby..Francis place of residence is Leamington, his father is William Henry Griffin and he is a grocer. I don't seem to be able to find a birth for him or find his father to tie the 2 together..Francis died in 1933 in rugby after colliding with a car while on his ,bicycle .
Witnesses to the marriage were Joseph Cooper Wood (Evelyn's father) and F Padbury..
Any help would be appreciated :-)

I've just noticed on marriage cert in 1915 he is also aged 29, could the census have the age wrong?

His death with a birth of c1886.

Yes I think they did spell his name wrong in the marriage record.. Normally Francis with an E is the female way off spelling it. But defiantly on marriage cert it is spelt with an I .

Yes F Padbury was a witness to the marriage , no idea what the connection between him and Francis is thought.. Maybe he worked along side him

There must of been 2 Francis with the same name die within a year of each other
