It was at the bottom of the notes of person I was looking up on Ancestry

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 11 Feb 2015 16:53

It's probably a reference to an event they found on another site.

If you cant find the record on familysearch, This one has some good (free) links
http://website.lineone.net/~mcgoa/pr.html

If you google the name of the church + Bishops Transcripts, there are other results.

Thank you safc, I thought that the parents of my James who was the gunner was Harriett and James but looks like I have got it wrong

Dea

Dea Report 11 Feb 2015 18:38

What was the year of birth for 'your' James please?

Could he have been a second son called James born to this couple following the death of the first James?

Parents often named another child with the same name after the death of the first years ago.

If not, then do you want to post the details you have on 'your' James and we can see if we can help you work back to his parents?

I now have a James Toms and Harriett Miller who had a son they named James w born and died in 1808, My James the one born 1816 d. 1870 who is a gunner in R.N. Married to Frances Harding.
There is also another James as safc found for me saying james born 1816 died 1824. So do you think that my James who died in 1870 was of different parentage to the others.
