Hi , I am looking for anything about Charles R Souter he was born in Wandsworth in 1867(?) . His father was Charles Frederick Souter 1839-1914 mother Mary Ann Higgs 1843-1902 . Can you please help

I have found a little about his siblings But nothing about Charles . I did not even know his middle name was Robert Thanks for that Can you please see f he married ?

I couldn't find anything else!!



and it also seems that none of the people who have him on their trees on ancestry found anything other than his birth.


I tried and tried to find the family in a census (any census!), trying each of the children in turn ................... nada



I tried looking on freebmd for marriage or death .................... nada

I spent a lot of time last night looking for variants

I noticed that there were several corrections on ancestry for "souter", which is not as uncommon a name as one would think. t had been mistranscribed in various wild and wonderful ways, but a common one was a mis-transcription of the capital "S" ........ especially for "T", "F" or "L"


I used the wild card * to stand in for 1 or more missing or different letters


so I searched for


*outer

and s*ter





I did notice that there was more than one Charles Robert Souter, including one born in 1867 ................ so one has to be careful to find the one with the correct birth year AND father
