Seems that findmypast(.com) is also collating various death records for recent years.

Searching one year at a time, there are five records for 2012, and eight records for 2011. All from :-
Mid Norfolk Monumental Inscriptions Transcription

In 2010 there are many more, primarily from:-
Warwickshire, Birmingham Burials, 1836-2010 Transcription. (Plus a few from Norfolk.)

Their last year of GRO records is 2007

And one year later we put an in memoriam...

this is the Ancestry entry

The post code is correct(ish) - does not show on death certificate

The records have been supplied from a commercial tracing company which provides services to clean up databases. This company Wilmington Millennium compiles the data in what they called the Grey Power Database from various sources such as Funeral Directors, Obituary Notices, Insurance companies & other derived sources. None of this information comes from the GRO or Register Offices. The databases covers only around 45% of the deaths and from comments made elsewhere has a lot of errors.

At best this is a finding aid and not as source, and I strongly advise that it isn't taken at face value and must be checked against official sources such as the GRO indexes held at the libraries mentioned earlier.

My brothers death shows for 2012, his birth year is incorrect

He had no announcement, no probate, so where have they got his details from, the hospital?

He died in the UK but lived in the US, no ER for him in the UK

My sisters death in 2013 does not show at Ancestry
