Cara - there's quite a lot of articles on the Slades in the newspaper archives. Just found a nice description of Cuthbert Slade's marriage to Kathleen Scovell, and also of his children's marriages and progeny. |

Sir Benjamin Slade is the 7th Baronet and a good friend of my cousins. I have been asked to do this research but not been given a lot to go on, hence asking for help on here. Which website are the newspaper archives on and do you have to pay to view them. |

The newspaper articles are available on this site (whether you pay per view or they're included depends on your subscription package), similarly on FindMyPast. Also on British Newspaper Archives. |

No not a potential relative or after the job of "young lady". My cousin is a friend of Sir Benjamins and has asked me to do some research. |
|||
|
MargaretM | Report | 7 Nov 2014 21:27 |
So now it's your cousin who has asked you to do research? But why? Sir Benjamin can trace his family back to Alfred the Great. |

Yes I was asked by him via my cousin. I can't tell you any more than that and I don't feel I have to explain myself to you. There have been some people on here who have been helpful to which I am grateful. |

But, Cara, all of this information that's being sent to you is readily available on the web. Why not do the research yourself? |
