Hi havent been on here for a while and was just wondering if any of you very helpful people would be able to help me out I am trying to find information, births, marriages, deaths, details of other household members and any other information on the following:

Cara - there's quite a lot of articles on the Slades in the newspaper archives. Just found a nice description of Cuthbert Slade's marriage to Kathleen Scovell, and also of his children's marriages and progeny.

Who is "Sir Benjamin" and is he a descendant of the Slades? If so, I expect he'd be able to furnish some further names and details of his forebears for you to investigate on FreeBMD at least, as a starter.

Sir Benjamin Slade is the 7th Baronet and a good friend of my cousins. I have been asked to do this research but not been given a lot to go on, hence asking for help on here. Which website are the newspaper archives on and do you have to pay to view them.

No not a potential relative or after the job of "young lady". My cousin is a friend of Sir Benjamins and has asked me to do some research.

So now it's your cousin who has asked you to do research? But why? Sir Benjamin can trace his family back to Alfred the Great.

Yes I was asked by him via my cousin. I can't tell you any more than that and I don't feel I have to explain myself to you. There have been some people on here who have been helpful to which I am grateful.

Sir Frederick WIlliam Slade had a twin brother, Marcus- when Frederick died there was a huge case over who should take over the baronetcy- I've sent just one of the articles concerning the case.

This is just a start- the articles give lots of details of children/ relatives. However, there are many many more article available on this family.
