That looks interesting Jacqueline. I will take a closer look at that one.

Jas is usually the abbreviation for James, but the chappie above was not born in county, so may be promising

His occ is P Labour...............whatever that may mean, and he's almost certainly in the workhouse

I have the registered birth of Alice and Emily's birth and baptism......so at least I have something to go on for a certificate.

familysearch has numerous baptisms for Mary Ann ****** 1809 to 1811 in Herts, but none is actually for Buntingford, which is a shame

Jas on the 1841 census is in the King's College Hospital.

Most of the ages have been rounded to the nearest 5 or 10......so a possibility.

I will check back on here later.........just in case there is anything of interest.

I think it would be easier to get birth certificate- but it still would be nice to find where they were.
