Many thanks

Have you got some first names and years of birth for some of the Prouts, and then looked to see if they are in anyone's tree on here?

Also, were they originally English, or from a different country?

I just did a quick search of family trees and got 10 matches for people with the surname Prout born in Perth, Australia during the 20th century. ;-)

patchem

patchem Report 21 Jun 2014 07:57

Were any in pele's tree?

Presumably he is looking for ancestors born elsewhere and before 1900.

Names please, pele.

Graham

Graham Report 21 Jun 2014 08:03

None in Pele's tree. But if the Prouts that moved to Oz had decendants, they and Pele could have common ancestors. So they could be researching the same people. ;-)

How much research have you done?

What do you wish to know?

Do you want info before they emigrated.................or after?

Many thanks for these relies so in reply:

1. Pele is my user name only, my name is Ernest Martin.
2. My UK Family line has some 6,000 people in the UK only. This particular line relates to my wife's family where her Uncle, William Prout emigrated to Perth Australia around the 1900 - 1920 era.
3. He seems to have married a nurse living in Kalgoorlie becoming a miner.
That is all we know so far
Ernest

If William is her uncle, who was William's sibling etc so we can find his birth year - or do you know it?

Thanks

Ernest, we're always happy to help find records but please do give us information that is as precise as possible.

The further information you have given is still too vague.

If you want useful help, please give factual info..................

The name, birth year and birthplace of your wife's parent whose sibling was William would be a good start.

patchem Report 22 Jun 2014 09:55

Thank-you, Astra.

I had thought it could be that 1911 census family, just it would have been useful to know at the beginning.

BeverleyW Report 1 Jul 2014 07:49

The W.A. Marriage found by Patchem is in 1931 according to the WA BMD page:

PROUT WILLIAM T
Male
MCDONALD FLORENCE J
Female
NORTHAM
93
1931

There is no death recorded for either of them in WA up to 1970 which is where the online records stop.
