Alice is listed as daughter in law..but as she is only 12....................

So if she was a step daughter...there's a marriage to Elizabeth Williams in West Brom

So if there was a child born in 1861 Darlaston, then they should be there in 1861 census and if Sarah didn't die untill 1863, then she should be with them.

I had 1863 from somewhere.....................but I cannot find them :-(

If William had a brother Samuel then this could be Mary Ann in 1871 (maybe sent to live with family after the death of Sarah?

I have trawled 1861 census until my eyes hurt :-0

Can anyone find a death for mother Catherine? In 1861 I believe she is with Robert who is listed separately on the page after her and Thomas, Jonathan and Joseph who are separate again. She is listed as Ruth but everything else fits too well. So either Catherine died and William married Ruth before he died in 1854 or Ruth is Catherine.

But I haven't found her in 1871 nor have I found a death for her.

Off to work now - crossing off events slowly but surely!
