Find Ancestors

Can anyone help find a missing link to enable me to join up the Kempsters who were in Great Gaddesden, Hertfordshire late 18th century and at least well into 19th century with my Kempster family of Aylesbury / Wingrave / Marsworth etc. 1 line of the Gaddesden family leads to Kempsters in S Wales, whilst another to the family of famous 1920's/30's speedway rider 'Smiling Jim' Kempster. I have Joseph Kempster b c1781 Herts + his wife Dorothy and children all b Gt Gaddesden, and Joseph's mother Susanne b c1755 Herts - but not his father who is most likely to be the missing link. Can anyone identify this person and/or provide the birthplace of Joseph ?

Wow, that was quick - thanks for v prompt replies so far. Some of this info I had on paper - but that's the problem - cant put about 8 generations of Kempsters on my tree until I get the missing link. We know we are related as my gndfather and Ernest 'Smiling Jim' were friends and knew themselves to be cousins and I knew a Kempster in S Wales who had the same family stories as me. So now the question is the same but back a generation. -
Does anyone know where and when the Thomas Kempster who married Sarah Field, Hemel Hempstead 9/11/1738 was born ?. He had to have been born at very latest 1720 (please somebody say Aylesbury 1704 !!!)
