Find Ancestors

I can see that probate record on ancestry (only have a standard sub for GR so can't see it on here) - but there are no order options available on ancestry, so not sure what you will get on GR if you order it. It is in this record set:

An Index to Wills and Administrations (Infra Wills are marked with an asterisk) Now Preserved in the Probate Registry at Chester, For the Years 1811-20, Both Inclusive.

As you may already know it states on the transcript he was from Overton, p Frodsham and he was a cordwainer, it's dated 8 May 1816.

Yeah that is it - will probably confirm Richard as a son or not (i.e. if he is mentioned or not)!

This is what the Ancestry record says - is this the same as the GR one? If so, I don't think that you will get a copy of the will from GR - you could try contacting the Probate Registry at Chester, as mentioned below:
