Joan done a search of news papers

Western Morning News

seems to have been in Plymouth Devon. talks and addressing within Plymouth
Christian Socialist -- the latest I can find him is as Mr G Ebury 6th June 1938

He has died between this date and Oct 1940 -- he is stated as deceased on the death report

Western Morning News wed 23rd Oct 1940 [I hav'nt put all of it ]

Dr Vawdrey / Conservative

one of his hobbies was attending Radical and Socialist meetings on the North Quay -- he often crossed swords with the late Mr George Ebury

but not found a recorded death -- perhaps Plymouth Devon might be able to help

He had been known to visit Scotland, wonder if he went there to give a talk and died in Scotland? Mavis do you have access to Scotland's newspapers on the site you are using?

Strange he dropped off the ERs after 1937, when the other family were still there the following year though.

Flip I use the National Newspaper which covers Scotland as well

He obviously died before the 1940 Oct. but it looks as if the death
not indexed.

but he did seem to live or be in Plymouth a lot
