Not sure about that death Chris, with no ages given not easy. However, there is an Isabella Lackenby living Biker, Newcastle with husband Thomas in 1851 and she was born 1795 so if the death is her she is too young. |

Hi Chris and Ann. I have looked more closely at the information you have found. Firstly, the 1841 census would be right as the death records for all the children mentioned in this census occur in Australia which would be correct. For Catherine - looking at the 1841 census plus her death record put her year of birth at 1812 not 1808. |

The death record that Flip posted for Ephraim Ryles would be correct as the place of death ties in with where some of his children were living at the time. I assumed that the mother's name of Margaret Newcastle had somehow been mixed up with a place of birth (Newcastle on Tyne) and her correct name was Margaret Wright as reflected in Ephraim's baptism record. |
