Hi, I am looking for any information on Joseph Saunders who married Isabella Turner. I have no dates for them but their children were: Mary b 1809 and twins Catherine and Anne born 4 Nov 1808 in Gateshead, Durham. Catherine married an Ephraim Ryles and then migrated to Australia in 1849. I am working on the assumption that Joseph Saunders would have been born in the mid to late 1780's. If Joseph and Isabella appeared on the 1841 census then they would have been in their late 50's

Just for information, I cannot see any deaths for Isabella or Joseph Saunders in Gateshead from 1837 to 1861 on free bmd. (But they just might not have been registered)

So if Cathrine & Annie both died, they can't be the right family - it must be a different Catherine who married Ephriam Ryles, I see both their deaths in Australia and think the 1841 census is the right family.
