The marriage certificate of Henrietta Hurley and Richard Oswin in 1844 was witnessed by N.G. Hurly and E.L. Hurly (spelt Hurly even though Henrietta's name was spelt Hurley on the same certificate!) GR now lists a Nehemiah George Harle married 1854 Bethnal Green, died 1859 Bethnal Green. Could this be the N.G. Hurly of the marriage certificate? IGI doesn't have him, or Eliza. FreeBMD has the marriage and death. Any help gratefully received!

Hello,

17 Arundel St was a boarding house kept by my 4x gt Grandmother until her death in 1843, and subsequently by her daughter until her passing in 1849 :)

Regards

Julie

Thank you; that's interesting. I really ought to go back to this branch of the family and see if I can find out more. I have plenty on the Oswins but Henrietta Hurley remains a mystery!
cheers, Linda
