MORNING HAS BROKEN.....CAT STEVENS

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5sSEkZ86ts

Absolutely love this song.

"Morning Has Broken" is a popular and well-known Christian hymn first published in 1931. It has words by English author Eleanor Farjeon and is set to a traditional Scottish Gaelic tune known as "Bunessan" (it shares this tune with the 19th century Christmas Carol "Child in the Manger")

Well, I thought I had never heard of 'The Marbles' but I definitely know that song and am so glad to have heard it again, I love it!

Jem, the singer is Graham Bonnet who went on to have a hit with NIGHT GAMES and was the singer with RAINBOW for a while. COSY POWELL (ace drummer) was also in RAINBOW.

I didn't know that until I googled them :-D :-D :-D

QUEEN OF CLUBS...KC & The SUNSHINE BAND

This thread has gone from strength to strength this last few weeks, hasn't it Gang :-) :-)

I've enjoyed the songs yet again. I love the fact that between us all we cover so many eras and tastes of great music! :-) :-)

:-) Hi Rhys-
I wish I could have just a teeny bit of the energy expended in that video :-D :-D

:-)Hi Liz-
I remember S-S-S-Single Bed well! :-D :-D
Very quirky and fun!
It was an unusual sounding voice then. Now they all seem to sing in that way :-D

Well done on the Q! That was a good one and I can see what you mean about "Ti Amo". It was very catchy!
If you go to the first page of Alphabetical Songs, you will see that we had a poster called Tiamo :-)
We haven't seen her on the quizzes for a while :-S

Was just watching your V song by The Klaxons, Jem and now I have a question running through my mind. What was that cartoon being shown? I know I used to watch it with my kids when it was on but I can't for the life of me remember what it was!! Anyone able to enlighten me please???

Good Afternoon Everyone :-) :-) <3

Raining overnight but sunny now! Autumn is here!

Liz-
Valley Of The Calm Trees-
It appears to have been used on an episode of the cartoon Series DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS Liz! :-)

That was a difficult one to work out, as I never watched that particular programme :-D

The song is very catchy. It was a single on the album SURFING THE VOID.

The song was renamed 'The Parhelion' which refers to a halo around the sun, an optical illusion caused by ice crystals in the air.

To complete the alphabet again...

Here's The Z SONG! :-D

ZANTZ KANT DANZ .......... JOHN FOGERTY :-D :-D :-D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAEd_U7TEEM

This song was re-released as Vanz Can't Dance after a law-suit from his ex-record producer, Last name of Zantz :-D

Original Chorus:
Zanz can't dance, but he'll steal your money! Watch him or he'll rob you blind. (X 4)
