Yattendon
Berkshire
1937
1974
See Table 2, notes (c) and (f).

1/4/1974 Lost the parishes of Aldermaston, Beenham, Bucklebury, Frilsham, Stanford Dingley and Yattendon, to Newbury registration district.

Not that ANY of it makes the least difference, as there is NO birth for the woman under the name on this thread - anywhere!

The notes for Reading say the same thing. Please bear in mind what is actually shown as the registration district by the GRO on the records.

Prior to 1937 Yattendon was in the Bradfield registration district ( just for interest). Yattendon is a small rural village. Surrounded by other small villages. The estate is not a grand house and a couple of hundred acres of parkland but is a big farming estate. Well known for its Christmas trees.

As I said before, local knowledge of a place is important.

Thank you all for your help.
I have a feeling the name is not right.

I have tried BMD, electoral rolls, zoopla, 192.com, bt directories.
Contact was lost around 2018.
I have a couple more avenues to look into and if I am successful I will post here
So that you know. I will close this thread for now.
Thank you all once again.
