Well found Valerie. Not sure if Dove was her maiden surname or if she had been married previously as I am not seeing an obvious birth for her in Yorkshire. As it was not long after the war, Gladys and Edwin could have met anywhere as her occupation on the shipping list is Nurse.

There is a possible birth in Islington and she may have nursed Edwin in a hospital down there when he returned from active service but that's just guesswork.
