There are 3 Ackerman/Mann births, so 3 possible cousins?

Do they have any information about him?

You have not said whether there were any marriages or children for him.

There are some possible marriages showing on ancestry, do you know of any cousins?

Apparently the ER can be searched by address on findmypast..

I did not know that CHEERS

2002 near neighbours to LOUISE

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 2 Dec 2013 12:07

At 79 ish, it is possible that he is in residential care. If he has the mental capacity, there is no reason why he shouldn't be on the full ER, but the Care Home manager could well have ticked the privacy box.

On the other hand - on line death indexes only go up to 2006 with confidence, with a very few 2007 ones available.

Try writing to the immediate neighbours on the off-chance that they knew him. Apparently the ER can be searched by address on findmypast.. If you don't have that sub, someone may be able to check if the occupants of the neighbouring flats/properties were likely to be there in 2002.

If you think that Social Services might have been involved in or are subsidising a Care Home placement, do you think that they would be willing to check their records? They probably wouldn't give you contact details, but its worth asking.

You could also search for the names and address of Care Homes in the Borough and contact them. Again, data protection/privacy might be an issue, but depending on the relationship and circumstances, they may be willing to help you.

Hi Yes checked phone books, ER, announcements,
did think about writing to address but as 11 yrs old and has lots of residence since changing on a yearly basis, did wonder maybe if he had moved into a care home there wouldnt be any records then I am right in thinking this ?

Check the sold prices on http://www.zoopla.co.uk/house-prices/

Assuming he owned his home and sold through an Estate Agent, then the last date of sale will be shown.

You could also check for his name on the BT online phone book in Cardiff
www.thephonebook.bt.com

Have you thought of writing to the address?

People can opt out of the public ER........he may simply have done so.

Louise

Louise Report 2 Dec 2013 09:27

the last I found is an address in Cardiff from 2002 and then nothing no records any where

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 1 Dec 2013 19:39

That's the birth I found............

No obvious record of him on the ER

patchem

patchem Report 1 Dec 2013 19:32

What is your connection?

What have you done to try to locate him?

Do you know his year of birth?
