I am trying to trace members of family with surname of English who emigrated to Brisbane, Australia, from the East End of London / Walthamstow, England during 1910 - 1940. The parents names were George English and Amy English (nee Smith). Members of this family may recollect the name of Roy Moulder who visited whilst in the merchant navy early 1950's.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Do you know the names of George & Amy's children or would you like to have them?
If I have the right couple, they married in 1897 and the 1911 census shows quite a large family, 8 children and I would think 2 more born after 1911 - English children with mother Smith born in West Ham: http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

The information which has been forwarded to me including the 1911 census is on our files. In fact:
Wellie George was in fact William Elbert was in fact Albert Gladyest was in fact Gladys
The details regarding Sidney Joseph and Albert Ernest (birth dates) tie in with our records and the death dates are possibilities. We believe both these people were my mother-in-law's brothers (my husband's uncles. As mentioned in my original posting I believe my husband's eldest brother visited them around the early 1950's when he was in the merchant navy. We are hoping to hear of any descendants of Sidney and Albert.
Regards Hazel

Since you didn't give the names, I didn't know whether you didn't know them or had chosen not to put them here, for privacy (the wording of your initial message suggested that possibility).
The odds of a descendant being a member of this site are fairly low. However, not uncommonly, people find messages at this site when they do an internet search for a name.
It might be to your advantage then to list the names in this thread (or edit your opening post to put them there) so that if any descendant does that, they would find the thread. They would have to pay for a subscription in order to be able to contact you through the site's messaging system.
Of course, putting a tree here with the names of anyone who is deceased in it would also mean that someone who searched trees at this site for the names would find you. Just remember to keep your email address in your account here updated and no matter when that happened, you would receive notice that you had a message here and be able to reply to it (even if you no longer had a paid subscription).

With individual names we might be able to identify them on Australian ER, selected ones to 1980 are on Ancestry.
We may find an English surname in the same household as ones you know about. That person might be a child or a daughter-in-law

You 'believe' that Sidney and Albert were your m-i-l's brothers.......
Who was your m-i-l? What does her birth cert say about her parents?
There is NO birth on freebmd for Moulder with MMN English...............nor is there a marriage between those surnames.
