Bill - seeing Brenda's message telling u abit about her day, made me think perhaps we could all do that each day - something for you to look forward to?? So here goes - started work about 9.30, thought l was going to be late cause of the traffic. We all trooped off in mini bus to the forest and continued cutting down small tree's and bramble etc.The students are so keen they are gone before we can unload the bloomin van. Home about 1pm straight on here to check any messages and emails and walk the dog - who always gives me a dirty look when we get to a gate that leads to the road and river, l always go the quickiest way,but today l gave her a choice, and she chose the gate!!:).Hubby was home when we got in and about to make lunch(egg on toast) and guess what its now about 2.30pm and l'm back on here again!!!:)) See yeh - Jude xx

Hi Jude, Brenda,Crista,Kathleen, and all. Just to let you know, Bill is heading off to Sydney to see the Spine specialist who saw him last time he damaged his spine. He had suggested a spinal fusion last time, but Bill said no, and hasnt regretted that decision. but will reconsider this option again. Bill will be going away on Sun/mon, and will probably be out of communication til xmas or later. he will be staying in Sydney with friends. so Jude Bill loves your daily stories, but will have no way of hearing them after sunday. and he sends farewell to all his friends on GC. Karen.

Bill & Karen - thanks Karen for ur messages on behalf of the Bill. All the very best to you Bill, take care and we all look forward to ur return. You'll soon be pulling the trolley's,not pushing em!!!! Lastdaily diary: Drove to a colleagues house in the fog, most drivers are plonkers, they did'nt have lights on!! One student kept picking her nose, so l said 'if u keep doing that,ur fingers will get stuck up there', the look of horror on her face!!!! but she was back to the old habit within 20mins:((((Did abit of christmas shopping lunch time and scoured the charity shops for books and bric-a-brac(nothing).Home in brilliant sunshine - ridiculous this time of year!! Garlic sausages, chips, peas, toms and mushrooms, for dinns - lovely, but the house stinks now.More bloomin fireworks gone off, dog got frightened and peed on the sofa(which she should'nt have been on). Now on GC might join in on members brd in a mo. Up early in the morning for more digging in garden(re-landscaping).Next time we hear from you we could well be buried in snow, cause l reckon we've got a rough winter to come. Good luck, take care. Jude (l believe Viv has gone to Italy,so if she contacts me l will pass on ur last message)

Hi Bill, Pleased to hear you are being well looked after and making progress. Hope all goes well in Sydney, and we see you back on your feet and running around in the New Year. We are all looking forward to the pre-Christmas meet-ups, it will be great to be able to put faces to the names. I am going to the Guildford one on 3rd December, getting really excited about meeting up with everyone. Nothing exciting to tell you about - I broke my toe when I came down the stairs and forgot there was two more when I thought I was at the bottom - you should have seen that take-off! It was brilliant but the landing was c**p. !!!! Look forward to hearing how you are progressing - you have some great 'minders' so hopefully we will be kept up to date. Take care Bill. Kathleen

Reporting Vivien's words - I will try and do my best. Karen Many thanks for being you. You have taken care of Bill in many more ways than your nursing vocation. Bill We all tend to shun medical care when we "manage just fine without it". That until something hits us. You have been doing wonderful progress in your recovery process. We are confident that the new year will see a new you, walking and driving your Motor Home, and being wiser! Loads of love from Vivien to you both. I reserve my love for Karen, and will limit myself to best wishes for a full recovery to Bill. Adam Almost forgot: Vivien also sends hugs and kisses to you both (I understand that, as far as Karen is concerned, just on the cheeks). A.
