Good old High Wycombe - wouldn't go back there now though. Sorry about that to anyone who still lives there but I have found a very peaceful way of life in Somerset now.

The trend to devolution and regionalisation has two aims: 1. To create divisions to fight against each other rather than uniting against an oppressive Government. (Divide and rule) 2. To conform to the Europe of regions plan whereby nations disappear and regions take on a uniform European identity.

Hmm I'm slightly torn about this. YES, I'm ENGLISH, but I think the current trend towards separate government in Scotland and Wales is dangerous. I also get annoyed by the fact that (generally, in my experience) the Scots want England to lose at football etc, whereas I support all the home nations (although clearly not if they're playing England lol). I'm in danger of losing the point here, but basically... I'm ENGLISH, although believe in the union of the British Isles.

Half English and half Greek Cypriot , so that makes me British. But I would still feel able to say English. When in Cyprus I hope that the locals don't spot my Cypriot roots because I cannot speak the lingo. They usually do though!

Update on Wellingborough, I gave the name Cross when mentioniong a butchers shop in Wellingborough. The name should have been Collins. And therefore Frederick Boddington Collins. It was his sister who became a Cross. My grandmother. Rosemary.
