I know this has been posted before but I thought I'd mention it again for those who missed it. Try looking up Cecily Goodman born in Kent, on the 1881 census and check out the rest of the household. |

I think it's the work of a bored transcriber. I think Pakistan didn't exist until something like the 1940s, no one had a chauffeur before they invented cars and Acacia Gardens sounds a bit too modern for 1881. |

LOL, Ive onley been home with my new son a while, he's six weeks old, The other is almost 6 years. I went back to wrok after 6 weeks with the first son, but had a particularily bad c section this time, and still cant do much. Can I invent one that says pi**ed off with the NHS ???? |

Here's how it was done - according to Succeeding in Fam Hist. by John Titford (Yes that is his real name!) "The entry appears on page 48 of the returns but the 'abstract of totals' page only refers to 47 pages. Page 48 was originally blank. When researchers were allowed to see the originals and not microfilm copies someone decided to have a laugh. Nell Gwynne, widow aged 97 Orange seller is also in! |

It does say that the 12 year old is his son, relationships are to the head of the household, must have felt the need for someone to look after the younger boy!! If you check eitherside the addresses don't correspond. Have seen the reference to Nell Gwyne. Ros |
