Having seen lots of photo's of my mother when she was young, I think she was the spitting image of Helena Bonham Carter. Unfortunately for me, I got my genes from my father and look most like Ian Hislop (although someone told me today they always think of me when they see Jonathan Ross, although I don't get that personally ! I don't even have a lisp ! lol)

Mum apparently - can't see it myself though.... Few years back Deidre Barlow (as she was) and I both had curly perms and very sad glasses, so I used to get that from a few people. My son at 2 was the spit (including hair colour and style) of my dad at same age. Maz. XX

Perhaps we could start one of those Looky Likey agencies! Badger Bill Now I know why you're called Badger Bill. Thanks for the emails you've been sending. They've given us a right good laugh. Mine and Rosies favourite was the 710 one. Jeanette

I used to have one of those wierd perms that everyone had a few years ago. My dad reckoned I looked just like Bett Middler. Even worse my daughter insisted I looked like Marc Bolan, and she still does, even though my hair is straight these days. Last year was in the garden with dad and my sister, when he said I looked just like his mum. Something to do with the way I had just turned round and throw a LOOK at him for some crack that he had just made. Said it made him come over all wierd, like he was a wee boy again. Maggie

Rosi Report 9 Feb 2004 23:22

I used to look like Liza Minelli - when she did Sally Bowles in 'Cabaret' And a year or two (sic) back my daughter did a rendition of 'Bye Bye Mein Lieber Herre' on stage at her (then) comprehensive. She brought the house down she was so good. Not that I'm boasting mind! And she is/was very like me. Not that I'm biased mind! Look more like a doting grandma now.

I've been told I look like Pauline Quirke. When I was about 2 years old, Mum and Dad took me to London Zoo, and as kids are apt to say things in a loud voice, especially when it's quiet, said Dad you look like that monkey. (It was only Guy the Gorilla)!! Liz

I'm afraid I just look like my mother.... Nothing wrong in that, you may say, but she looks like her late mother now. I have photo's of my grandmother , g grandmother, gg grandmother and ggg grandmother. they all look very similar after 70 - like the Grandmother in the Giles' cartoons! Only another 23 years to go..........

Hi Jeanette Nice thread. You don't have to guess to much to figure who I resemble. This I got from Sue, who reckons that when I perch my glasses down my nose to see the TV, I look like badger from Wind in the Willows. Badger Bill

No-one has told me who I look like whilst I'm wearing my contact lenses, but whenever I'm wearing my slightly retro dark framed glasses, I apparently look like Vic Reeves, Greg Proops (American comedian, as seen on Whose Line Is It Anyway?) or Jack Osbourne (Ozzy's son)!

I was a teenager in the 60s and a Mod...yes an original one and used to go round with a group of local scooter boys.Although they knew my name I was christened Cilla as they all thought I looked like Cilla Black....One day my Dad said"I keep getting all these phone calls for someone called cilla and they won't take it that there's nobody here by that name" Lynn

I don't think I resemble anyone, but in his younger days, my hubby looked like Nicholas Lindhurst, when he was in Butterflies. My son is the image of Prince William, lots of people have commented on the likeness, so its not just me being big headed.
