Hi All, I'm usually at work during the day. I work from 10-6.30 with a beady eye'd boss who can see my screen. I try and nip in and out when I can to see if I've missed anything but I have to be quick. Admit I spend my whole lunch hour searching for lost rellies though. Sometimes go over my allotted hour but never mind! Working does kind of interupt the search though. Was looking at Norfolk county records office today. I don't have enough time off to get there from London, thought I might do a weekend and they're only open from 9-12 on Saturdays. Don't they think of us who have to work to pay for the certificates! Watch it you. Mate of mine does nights, 4 on 4 off. Got serious disciplinary hearing and total bo******ing for spending 40 hours on the internet during works time. When asked why, dope told them he did not have enough to do! On nights now they watch DVD's instead!

Darren white Report 15 Mar 2004 21:21

to be honest i'm not entirly sure..i only started here at the begining of the month. they were supposed to send me out on site with some of the engineers so i could get a look at what goes on in the field, but they've not got round to it yet! so at the minute if i get a fault on site i just call out an engineer..
