Hi Everyone, I just thought what tips do you have to make life easier. Ive just thought of a really good one for all who are waiting on certs.If the postman folds or bends to put letter in letterbox,your certs might be creased or folded. If this happens.place cert between several layers of newspaper,and with the iron hot,press firmly until flat. Your cert will not be damaged or scorched,make sure the steam button is NOT on. I learnt that one from my granny years ago. What else does anyone have. regards trish

If you want to heat the bed up quickly (stop smirking those at the back ;-)) before jumping in, stick the hair dryer under the quilt for a few minutes! Used to do that when I was a student, hehe.

If the inside of your microwave is grubby (especially after hubby has been nuking) place a bowl of water with lemon juice in, heat up for minute or so, remove then use a cloth and all food stuck to the ceiling and walls will just wipe away. Naomi

Trish, It has actually happened. I was making homemade soup (a la weight watchers) and when I put it in the blender the lid blew off! Myself and the kitchen were covered in tinned tomatoes and bits of carrot. Lovely! Naomi

To clean small or intricate silver items, place some cooking foil, shiny side up in a bowl. Place the silver items on top of the foil and throw in a handful of washing soda crystals. Pour very hot water on top, enough to cover the items and leave for 10 minutes. (It fizzes and smells a bit) Remove the items, rinse them in clean water and dry. Nice and clean and shiny! Easy! If you haven't got a dishwasher but want a nice clean tea pot, add a scoop of washing powder (or washing powder tablet) to the pot and fill with boiling water to the brim. I then immerse any grimy teaspoons or tea strainer into the pot and leave to soak. End result- a stain-free tea pot and shiny spoons! Do this to baked-on casserole dishes or saucepans too! Aileenx

If hubby misses an important anniversary, leave details of the expensive genealogical book/cd you've been wanting lying around in a prominent place and look very hurt but coping! Works every time.

For anybody with young babies who have nappy rash - don't bother with all the expensive creams. Beat up the white of an egg and dab that on to the affected area - works like magic.

Clean inside of windows of an evening with the light on.It is so much easier as you can see if you have missed any part of them.....(also much quicker if you use kitchen roll) Lynn

Tips for an eay life 1. Never push your granny when shes shaving. 2. Never stand in a revolving door. 3. And most important of all NEVER forget to backup all your family history data and keep a copy at someone elses house, you never know when the worse will happen. Yours Chris

Ummmm Imacs for legs I was refering to granny shaving her face. Have you seen the damage a tripple blade razor can cause if you get a shove in the back. granny lost half her nose and her left ear after grandad surprised her in the bathroom.

NoI meant for the face,Ive seen it in the chemist,haha, not that Ive had to use it,have you now seen the magic wand, sorry I cant stop laughing, Its for men and women, its for removing unwanted hair from ears,nostrils,and any little spare ones around the knees.!!!!!!! To clean your jewellery, soak in wool mix for a few minutes, then rinse off. Makes a great jewellery cleaner.

RUBBER GLOVES, ( washing up ). When your rubber gloves have finally worn out, don`t throw then away, cut them up, cross ways, into strips. Hey presto,rubber bands of varying sizes. Courtesy of my wife Jan. Barry.

If, when removing sticky tape from whatever, and it leaves some of the adhesive on the item, spray with furniture polish, leave for a few minutes, then wipe away. Barry

Try cleaning Windows with vinegar and newspaper, great results LInda P

To all you Gardeners. This is a great tip. Hanging Baskets. Instead of having to constantly water(IN THE HEIGHT OF SUMMER)LETS HOPE WE HAVE ONE THIS YEAR, Add handfuls of ice cubes,especially if you dont have much time,then cubes will slowly melt,and give your baskets a quick drink.You can always give them a good soaking in the usual way. trish
