Hello I am Stacy, not sure if you have seen my message for Race for Life. Well I am taking part on Wed 07th July at North Weald Airfield. I have a t-shirt that will be printed with the names of people that have passed away through cancer. I was contacted by Norah, to add Peggy's name. It would seem that Peggy was a very special person to many people on this site and this shows on the messages. I was thinking that I could add after her name, 'With love from your friends at GC' Let me know what you think? If there is anyone else out there that would like a name added then please feel free to contact me. But please note, I do not want any sponsorship! Luv Stacy x

I want to print out all your messages and give them to her daughter for her family to read. I'm sure they will give as much pleasure to Peggy's family as they did to Peggy and me. Molly Report 5 May 2004 16:20

Hello from Molly from Nottingham. May I add a little more to my old school friend Norah's sad message about our lovely friend Peggy. Her daughter Elaine phoned me this morning to tell me about the funeral arrangements and during our conversation she told me that during the last few days of Peggy's life, she had had great enjoyment from the tapes that Norah sent, which of course, were all your contributions. Elaine turned the tapes over for her Mum and she lay there chuckling away. So we all thank you very much. Peggy and I are both visually impaired and we used to go together to Computer classes at the local Notts Royal Society for the Blind and what fun we had. The teasing between her and our tutor Ian was hilarious, and afterwards we used to go to town and end up with a cup of tea somewhere. It was always a lovely joyful day and I have missed our get together for over a year as she was not fit enough to go again. I have visited her at home and hospital from time to time, and no matter how ill or in pain she was, she always wanted to know how the other person was and made you feel really cared for. I am pleased to say that she died in her sleep and is now with her Lord who she greatly loved. God be with you, our Peggy. A BIG THANKYOU TO NORAH FOR THINKING OF INVOLVING YOU ALL, AND I KNOW THAT WHEN YOU MEET HER AT YOUR WINCHESTER GET TOGETHER, YOU WILL LOVE HER AS i DO AND HAVE DONE FOR ALL THESE YEARS.
