Met John Glenn the astronaut who was visiting Rotterdam with his wife. They were guests of honour. We had quite a conversation with him, at least my children did. We were front page news. Nice photo keepsake!

I met Dusty Springfield (showing my age here!) in a hospital where I used to work in the 1970's. Also met Cheryl Baker, my friend went to school with her, what a nice friendly person. More recently my friend and I met at a concert, "Chip" Hawkes from the Tremeloes and Dave Dee from DD, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich. Dave Dee is now a judge, but he is still really good looking, even if he has grandchildren !! lol Sue

Maz Sorry to disappiont you but he really was! We went to see him in concert which was absolutely fabulous. The friend I was with was a real big fan of his and insisted we went back to the hotel he was staying in. To my amazement we were allowed in and made a beeline for him. After about 5mins I decided he wasn't worth the bother so I spent the rest of the night talking to the Real Thing who were supporting him. What a lovely bunch of blokes they were. To be honest I think he was on something. He certainly wasn't on the same planet as the rest of us! lol Jeanette

I have served Ray Reardon, the snooker player, when I worked behind the bar of a local golf club. He used to visit friends who were members of the club and he used to have a round or two of golf. A very courteous and charming man to everyone. I have an old £1 note signed by him. Viv.

when I lived in Harrow, about 12 of us nurses went out for a meal and the waitress came to tell us cliff Richard was in the other half of the resturant , well you never saw so many people go in and out of the " Ladies " just to have a look at him ,and I can say he looks the same off stage or telly as he does on. also saw June Brown (Dot Cotton ) coming out of a shop on her way to Elstree, when I said it to the bloke in the shop he said he dident know who she was and would look at the telly , next day he told me , "she comes in every day ". Margaret.
