No, am quite modern in most things, but definitely don't like tattoos. Every man to himself (herself). Freedom to do what you like etc.etc.

When I was about 22 I went with a few mates to a Tattoo Parlour in Charlotte Street Portsmouth where the Tattooist, bless her, tried to draw a Jaguar's head on my arm. It looks like a strang hybrid of Lynx and Bull! Anyway by the time it came to the fourth person's turn we had started to sober up. IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME, YOUR HONOUR!!

Always wanted one but I'm afraid i'm too chicken. Can't stand pain you see. (Say's she who has given birth to two children, one without the added benefit of drugs) 36 now so starting to feel too flabby, Lol! Also used to work in a laser clinic where we were always inundated with people paying large sums of money to get them removed! Pam

Don't mind little teeny discreet ones, like small butterfly on ankle or shoulder. Also don't mind one or two smallish one on men's forearms, but that's about it. Don't like to see lots and lots.

I would never commit myself to anything so permanent unless I was sure I was going to like it in years to come. Thank goodness I never had it done as a young man as my taste is so totally different now, I would probably have to have a limb amputated. len

Hubby was in the merchant navy before I met him and most of his were done abroad. He did have a small one that he didn't like so decided to have another one done over the top.It was of a horse's head....not bad but it had my name written under it so does this make me out to be the old nag???????? Our Son has a dolphin on his upper arm and a fancy black band on the other. One Daughter has a butterfly on her shoulder. Other Daughter has a small rose same place also a large black tattoo on her lower back. Me NO too chicken but I love them. Lynn

I was in hospital once with a young woman having a tattoo removed from her forearm. The donor site on her leg where they took the skin to cover the removed area, was so raw and painful. I know lasers have somewhat changed this but I think tattoos should be thought of as permanent, and thought about carefully before going ahead. I'm with Deidre, I loathe them, but each to their own, I say.

I have a tattoo at the bottom of my back. It's a design i saw whilst in the shop and it's black and red. Didn't hurt to have it done, just felt like a scratch really. The most uncomfortable part was having the outline of the design done but the colouring in bit was a doddle! Tracey

I don't like them at all! My daughters have them though, one has a small scorpion on her boob and a small rose on her tummy & also has her bottom lip pierced :o( The other has a small Chinese symbol on her shoulder and a pattern acress the small of her back & also has her belly button pierced. Both my sons loathe tattoos and think their sisters are mad! It took me until I was 50 to even have my ears pierced! LOL Sue
