Hi Trish, have just spent 20 mins trying to get on photos, will do it another time, but from what you say your hair should be easy to control!, keep back and sides short, have a bit of lenth on top to keep a feminine look have it textured, will stop hair looking like it has to much weight, but make sure sides are cut and textured well, will stop you looking like you have ear muffs, or the devil as you say!! lol Pat

Hi Morfydd, have to say I havn,t found the secret to static hair yet, mousses and serums do help but will not control indefinately, do you know that I have had static shocks of many a client , wish I had the answer to that one, would be alot more comfortable for me too!!, least you know you are not alone!

Little tip Judith, just look your hairdresser in the eye (through the mirror of course),and say "would you mind putting abit of colour in the underneath so I can see it when I wear my hair up!", she wont be able to ignore the request, she may give you a load of grief as to how much more it will cost, just ignore this and say you wish to see the colour she is adding however you wear your hair and dont expect to pay more!, I promise you it works every time with me, but if you dont ask, you dont get!

Hi Patricia, Bad hair day! Were do I start? Have short hair now, but constantly have to get it coloured due to the amount of grey coming into it. Also noticed it seems to be thinning out a bit :O( Not sure if thats due to constantley colouring it, or hereditary my family seems to have thinning hair later in life. Any advice what products to use to make it look thicker...... Thanks a lot Sheila

Hi Sheila, just wondering.. is the grey due to maturity or kids LOL. I would say the best thing for you would be a body perm and make sure the product used is for coloured hair!!, Dont advice you do this yourself, if you dont have a regular hairdresser maybe someone you know could recommend a good hairdresser to you! Hope this helps lol Pat

Hi there everyone, I have been revolutionised!!! Buy a pair of GHD mini hair straighteners. They are expensive about £80 but more than worth it. My mop top is now sleek and non frizzt. Also use GHD STYLING IRON OIL which smooths it out.

Hi Deb, if you like to difusse your hair dry then you need to have soft layers put in, this will stop your hair from being to heavy hence weighing down the curls, it will also look good straight. Always condition your hair working through midlenths and ends and rinse well. If you are blowdrying and straightening hair then use a protective smoothing cream such as L,oreal smoothing cream, and if you want to wear your hair curly then use a good strong mousse or gel, to keep the curls crisp. Good products will easily be removed from hair by brushing or shampooing, but however some cheaper products tend to build up and cause the hair to become lifeless

I have naturally curly hair which is kept shoulder length or longer otherwise I end up with a microphone on my head! lol. It tends to frizz up quite a bit and I tend to look like I've had an electric shock quite a lot of the time. I also worry about going to hairdressers as a lot of them do tend to cut too much off not realising how much it'll spring up. I thought about having a straightening perm but worried about when it started to grow, would I end up with a poodle reverse mullet look? Curly on top and straight at the bottom. I've tried quite a few straightners but haven't found any that work for me and just can't afford any more. I don't think I have the co-ordination to blow-dry or straighten my own hair either! Naomi

H i Naomi, in answer to your question.. yes!, hair will still grow just as curly from the roots, there are straightening products on the market now which leave your hair with a small amout of wave rather than poker straight, easier to manage and not such a contrast to curly roots, also meant to be a bit kinder to the hair as straightening lotions in past where quite harsh, taking the shine of the hair and making it quite brittle, if procedure was not carried out well, another alternative is to go with the curl!, use smoothing serums to calm down any frizz and use strong mousse to keep the curls crisp, you,ll be suprised, a good cut and the right products and your curly hair will be the envy of many women!!. Treat youself to a proffesional blowdry when you are going somewhere special and wear your hair straight, reckon you,ve got the best of both worlds!, hair can look fabulous either way, concentrate on finding a good hairdresser who can work well with curly hair and understands what you want
