Have you tried the Lurcher Club? http://www.lurcher.fsnet.co.uk They give a contact address on site where I'm sure you'll be able to buy a puppy. Good luck Sylvia

Abigail

Abigail Report 18 Jul 2004 20:06

Hi Baz, There are a lot of country shows up here (Lancashire/Cumbria) in the next couple of months. Lots of different classes and animals and trade stands. We usually see farmers/showers/breeders bringing along bitches with puppies that are ready. We definitely saw a litter at the Lowther show last year. Maybe if you want a short break you should pop up to one of these shows for the weekend or check your local papers for shows near you. I think there might be a lot up here because there are so many working dogs around the Lake District and surrounding areas. It would be a lovely break for you even if you didn't find the pup you wanted. Abigail Cumbria and the lake district tourist board (no only joking - I just love where I live!!)
