Hi folks, Just switched on and received a reply from GR saying: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. This problem has now been resolved and the details corrected. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused. Abuse Administrator. It's good to see that they have sorted it out but an explanation of what caused it would of been nice.

I was just busy wiping all the contacts away when I discovered he'd gone. He didn't even say hello or goodbye. Strange man.

I was very intrigued to know what a 'latent database error' was! Why do people have to use a technical term instead of telling us in plain English?! Hubby says that it is an error 'waiting to happen', ie the name of John Henry Thornthwaite appearing was an indication that there was an error looming which would make the database crash. Well it might not be a perfect explanation but it makes a bit more sense to me than a 'latent error'! And I never had JHT anyway:( Mandy x

Hi everyone, This error has been fixed. There was no breach in security. It was caused by a latent database error. Thanks to those of you who wrote in to notify us of the problem.

Ann Report 21 Jul 2004 11:23

There was an earlier thread about him- basically he mysteriously appeared in the contact lists of loads of members- and was nothing to do with any of them. GR seem to have removed him after several people e-mailed, but noone is sure how he suddenly became our mutual relative.

He has departed from my tree contacts to, perhaps he's going to see if he can come through gillians thread instead, when she sees her medium. [or maybe our rellies weren't up to his standards] lol sandra
