Who remembers CREAMOLA FOAM -there have been pregnant girls looking for it recently in Glasgow and someone found a tin dated 1990 something which has gone for analysis! ROsalyn

Rosalyn I had to laugh when I read the Daily Record report about the pregnant woman craving for Cremola Foam. I was the very same 5 years ago when I was pregnant. I hunted everywhere for it. Even tried sherbet mixed with lemonade, yuck, it didn't taste the same. I loved it as a kid, 'specially the lemon flavour. Hope they bring it back! Christine

In just one shop in Portsmouth in 1950s you could buy sugar crystals with a fine string going through the centre. Sort of creamy white glassy look. I've no idea what it was called and never saw it anywhere else. It gave the effect of crystals grown in a science experiment as individual crystals of varying sizes gripped onto the same long string. Does anyone else remember this stuff, or was it peculiar to Charlotte Street in Pompey?
