Like a streak of lightnin' flashing 'cross the sky Like the swiftest arrow whizzing from a bow Like a mighty cannonball he seems to fly You'll hear about him everywhere you go The time will come when everyone will know The name of.....Champion the wonder horse Champion the wonder horse Did you sing along? Wish I'd kept my albums. Joy

And, yes, I loved Popeye, too. My Grandad used to pull a face like Popeye. My Grandad was brilliant. I'm gonna sing again. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man, I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm strong to the finich Cause I eats me spinach. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm one tough Gazookus Which hates all Palookas Wot ain't on the up and square. I biffs 'em and buffs 'em And always out roughs 'em But none of 'em gets nowhere. If anyone dares to risk my "Fisk", It's "Boff" an' it's "Wham" un'erstan'? So keep "Good Be-hav-or" That's your one life saver With Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man, I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm strong to the finich Cause I eats me spinach. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. Joy PS This is getting silly, I subscribed to this site for genealogy and I'm spending most of my time helping other people or on the general board singing!!!

Tommy Cooper would make me laugh with out saying any thing, then there was Alf Garnet "silly old moo" and I for got the name of the show but I remember Burny the bolt and my dad use to love Iron Side, we could not move when that was on, those were the days. Debbie (Canada).

You and I must love animals, Val! As a child (no longer!) I had an imaginary stable near where my Granny and Grandad lived at Peacehaven, we used to gallop across the south downs (the horses and me, not my Granny, Grandad and me!). Enough of my childhood. Joy
