When I lived up 't' north, we thought we were the only ones that could do yorkshires properly, but when I had them at my partners parents house Darn Sarf in Sunny hot humid muggy Ramsgate :) I soon had to change my mind. They were lovely Jubbly :)

We have small yorkshires with the meat and veg, but i still love the way it is served in Yorkshire when we vist our reletives. People say that people down South dont know how to make a Yorkshire but there is many a time mine hit the roof of the oven lol Margaret

.I like it in any shape or form but like it best ,big square pieces ,on the stodgy side with meat or sausies in .gibraltar has it,s own version, served with coffee [iced] ,or tea. classed as a delicacy it is served cold in small portions to a standard recepie with a little sugar added to the mix.sered chilled it is lovely.Fred.

I love them, but can not for the life of me make them, the kids say they would be good for weapons lol, but you can get frozen ones now, they are only small but tasty, my daughters boyfriend allways dumps aload of sugar on them (yuck)

Deborah If you want to use Aunt Bessie's roast potatoes, yorkshire puds and stuffing balls, you enjoy them.My daughter uses all Aunt Bessies she was put on to them by her Mother in law cos her mother in law can't do yorks pud mix unless it's in a packet. And this woman is in her 50's.LOL. I make my own stuffing mix,I got the recipe from my manager when I was a cook for the elderly. Sue

Daniel Biggest packet of PAXO you can find, but please don't stuff chicken/turkey as all the juices soak into the stuffing. If the chicken/turkey are not cooked properly there is a possibility of food poisoning.Put the stuffing in a square tin and pop it in the oven.Crispy on top and nice and soft underneath.YUMMY. Enjoy your meal. Sue

Daniel Only cook roast potatoes/mash potato when 1 of my daughters turns up with the grandkids. My grandchildren are like you they wont have sunday dinner without roasties and they love my homemade yorkshire puds, doesn't matter what size they are.My grandchildren always say that my sunday dinners are better than what their mum cooks.so as you say Daniel age is experience, sounds better than old.LOL Sue

I love English roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, toad-in-the-hole, but................. I rarely roast my meat any more. I've been away too long I suppose! Anyway, looking forward to my pub lunch soon - 3 weeks to go and then I'll be in England. Sylvia

Actually Joking apart re; age - ism I think daniel has a point . When I first had to cook the roast dinner for my hubby as a 20 yr old I had no Idea that a chicken should be basted and spuds par boiled . I thought it went in the oven and came out looking like Grans. To carve a chick you cut it qtrs right? LOL I never paid much attention to Mum or Gran's cooking I had no interest. But Gran's dinners are so much nicer than mum's and mum's is so much nicer than mine and i just know mine are much nicer than my 12 yr olds from Home eco at school LMAO!!

I usually serve mine with the roast. Have to be swimming in gravy. Or like Lynda in Brighton with treacle for afters! Jeanette
