I was out at the marina with my husband today, and I ask the manager to put the telly on for me, we were the only two watching it, (loads of people about) I said to my hubby if we were in the UK this place would be packed, and the funny thing is we have a local girl who could get the Gold in the 100 hurdles Perdita Felicien. But I remember Donivan Bailey in a interview in the UK, and he was asked where track and field was ranked in Canada, he said some where under darts, I know now he was telling the truth. PS: MOAN MOAN: I thought it was bad when the three women for the wheel chair 800m were getting their medals, they were lined up in front of the podium, they should be on the top of them like every other medallist, shame on the organizers .

I live in Seattle so see U.S and Canadian channels on TV. There is very little interest in British atheletes, but they did show the brilliant 800metres that Kelly Holmes won. It felt good to see the British flag flying. Mine flies in my garden all the time. Well done Kelly. Joan Russell-Hogley

British Women are doing us proud in Athletics. Kelly Holmes won her heat in 1500m in great style. Go Kelly!! And Abi Oyepitan qualified for the womens 200m final. First British woman in a sprint final for many a year! Go Abi! Tomlinson qualifed for final in mens long jump. That's all i can think of off the top of my head. Rule Britannia!! Joanne

Boltons Amir Khan has stormed his way into the medals! What a good little fighter for his age. He's guaranteed a bronze but he's got a very good chance of going all the way to gold! Tracey
