Oh Baz, don't worry, I've left a message for anybody else: we will have to go now, we can;t expect Alfonso to wait around, and I for one could do with a good night's sleep. They'll see the message, just you wait and see!!! (Yawn) it's no use, I've got to get to sleep. Nite!

Probably the sound of the slap, slap ,slap of the waves against the bows. At last, on our way back to blighty, seems like a lifetime since I last saw the white cliffs of Dover. It`s going to be a land based job from now on.Bye bye island, thankyou.

Concluding:. . . . there's a message announcing the fact that SOME of us have been rescued from the island. It's up to the remaining few passengers, who may have been asleep as we left, to decide whether to stay on the island, set up home, or take the chance with the other boat which is due to arrive tomorrow.

Bye bye island of our dreams!!! That's it then - off we go. I've nailed our message to that tree. Hope they all see it in the morning. (As boat turns round) Byeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! (Im sure there WAS a little boat with a white sail out there . . . )

This dinghy`s a bit low in the water,hope we make it to the yacht.

Oh look, I've got an old envelope in my pocket, that'll do to write on. Are we ready to go then? I'll just write this message: "HELLO EVERYBODY, A SHIP CAME BY TO RESCUE US, WE WAITED AROUND FOR YOU, BUT YOU DIDN'T TURN UP, SO WE HAVE GONE ON AHEAD. THERE'S ANOTHER BOAT COMING TOMORROW. GET ON THAT ONE, SEE YOU IN SOUTHAMPTON" is that all right do you think?

Dorothy, have my old shirt to write on, I`ve got another. Just tell `em that the other boat will be there to collect them on Friday morning, and they should all be on the beach waiting. No-one to go wandering.

Blimey Dave, just in time. You may have to share the bunks with Dodo and Lady M, but I`m sure you`ll manage. I`ll stay on deck with the skipper, Alfonso.

Oh thank you David, you are kind and thoughtful. Yes, it'll be good to go home: see my little cat, Bassey, she'll be wondering what happened to me. So, what are we going to write on this message, have either of you got any paper? We can pin it to that tree over there, near the camp, to make sure they all see it.

Is that all!!!! well, that's very odd, because the others WERE around! Perhaps they're asleep. By the way, I know 'Dot' is easier and quicker, but just don't say it to my face!!!!! Like Queen Vic. At the moment Dot, there`s you, me and Lady M is about somewhere. Dave, I haven`t seen since he went up to the beacon. So it looks like 3 of us.

Strange, leaving this island seems as though we`re deserting it. It`s been good to us, and we`re leaving it to fend for itself. Silly eh.

OK Baz: Who else is coming with us now? Did David come down from the hilltop? What happened to Dame Jean? How many of us are there here now, ready to board?

OK then, let`s get on board, I`m afraid we`ll have to leave our belongings. They might come in useful for the others, while they wait for the other boat. We`ll wait for them on the mainland.
