There's a classical tune called pearl fishers or something (I know what classical music I like but can't usually remember the names!) that makes me go all gooy (yes, even me!) and brings a lump to my throat, don't know why, just my tummy turns right over. Elvis singing American trilogy / crying in the chapel makes me feel all shiny inside if you know what I mean. Well, Elvis, my no 1 hero, makes me feel like that any time!! and all happy inside. Queen with Freddie Mercury singing we are the champions makes my heart soar to the sky. and that's just a few!! Joy

Paul - its a piece of music I have always loved- and one of the pieces I chose a year ago for my mum - so at the moment it saddens me - but also uplifts me - the music is inspiring - xx also a song by Starsailor - my son rang and played it to me - and we both wept -

the song that makes me really sad and upset is .SINEAD O CONNOR NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU)as that was played at my friend's funeral who sadly died of cancer aged 52.also ANGELS /ROBBIE WILLIAMS as that used to make her cry because that was played at her sons funeral.the ones that make me happy are the songs that when you listen to them which would include the one you said yesterday paul ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE.and my all time favourite NAT KING COLE who i love to listen to on a sunday afternoon.(WHEN YOUR SMILING)aloso love MONA LISA by nat king cole as alot of people sing that to me that know me.that song sums me up aswell.love and hugsxxxxx(:

It would have to be Phil Collins, Another day in Paradise. Was the last song my late husband saw on T.V. on the saturday, he died hours later, and on sunday it went to no1 in the charts. My daughter was with him, so this always upsets her too.

I'm sure we are all touched by music in one time or another. What music, or song, particularly upset, uplift or inspires you ? I have quite a few that bring a tear at the moment (I'm such a girl lol), in particular; No Distance Left to Run by Blur A Minor Incident by Badly Drawn Boy Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley (yes I know it's a cover) Gravity by Embrace The most inspiring one for me at the moment is Brand New Start by Paul Weller.
