Spiders but most of all Wasp, I remember running away from the pram and leaving my babies in it, just to get away from them, what a sight I must have been, running up and down the street screaming, and the kids would be sat in the pram laughing so much thinking mummy was having a game with them, what a bad mum. Also my husband finding out how much is on the Visa, that has been spent on those same two kids lol. Love Deb.

I am really really scared of very large wheels and huge machinery. It terrifies me. It is such a deep fear I think it is a memory from a prevoius life. I now believe that I was killed in a factory accident. Rose

Insects of all descriptions, even pretty ones, snakes, lightening, heights, enclosed spaces, being sick, cotton wool and custard powder (not afraid but hate the noise they both make). M.

Oh dear, I am a real chicken! Dentists, spiders, daddy long legs, heights, rollercoasters, big barky toothy aggressive dogs, wasps. But can pick up moths and caterpillars and snakes and I don't mind docs/hospitals or those simulator rides at theme parks. Maz. XX

LOUISE I was given some advice about job interviews years ago: Remember, the person sitting opposite you is a human being who goes to the loo, has relationship problems, maybe children, not some super-human being - give them the answers they want (stretching the truth a tad) and you'll be on the shortlist! Also research the firm before you turn up and drop a titbit into the conversation to show that you are really interested in joining them! If I got to an interview, I could always get in the last three, usually get the job! GOOD LUCK anyone seeking work (glad I don't have to now!)

Hi, I'm afraid of flying! It's a real problem and recently spent 57 hours on a bus rather than fly. I wish I could get over it and really find a cure. My doc says it is because I don't have control. Is that what it is about? I always feel like I'm falling when I'm on a plane and that is what gets me. Can't stand fast rides at the fair either.

An Olde Crone Report 17 Sep 2004 00:45

Those S--- things, I cant even type the word, so irrational but its beginning to affect my life, I see them everywhere, just slightly out of vision. My Doctor offered me therapy, but Im too scared to go in case they make me look at/touch one. And, why are they used so much in TV advertising? I can promise "them", whoever they are, that I will NEVER buy a product they advertise using s----s. The other thing Im scared of is heights, but thats in a different sort of way, probably something to do with my sense of balance being very poor - and an overwhelming urge to throw myself off, before I fall!!!! There is hope though, I recently overcame a twenty-seven year terror of flying and now fly all over the place without a twitch.

Snakes, bats, clowns and doctors. I'd rather spend a day in the dentists chair than five minutes with a doctor. Oh and heights and enclosed spaces. Christine

Saz Report 16 Sep 2004 19:15

Oh yes I forgot about heights - I never knew I had vertigo until a school trip to St Paul's in London and we went on the whispering balcony thing that goes right round inside - the poor teacher had to give me smelling salts. I don't mind tops of hills and stuff like that but it's glass buildings or those awful glass lifts - argh!!!

Saz

Saz Report 16 Sep 2004 18:16

I used to be v v scared of thunderstorms but not so bad these days, dentists are way up there on my list and flying - my other half says it's a fear of crashing but actually I think it's the fear of turbulance. Not keen on getting in lifts with strangers either. I think I need a lie down - I'm a bag of nerves now!!! Sarah NB - why do "friends" always tell you their really really bad stories about dentists, hospitals, flying just before you're about to leave to do the scary thing. Do they think it will make you feel better! Not!

I hate wasps. They seem to sting me for no reason. I also hate earwigs and beetles. I once found an earwig crawling in my hair when I was camping and loads of beetles in my bed.

Johnny spinners, i hate the things. I think its the horrible dangly long legs and the fact that they always seem to dive bomb your head. I also hate those moths with the fat hairy bodies, theyre like mice with wings yuck! I nearly forgot to mention frogs - bad experiences with them.
