It was a long time ago, but I remember craving sugar, especially Icing Sugar, and I would eat it by the bagful. Needless to say, I ended up with bad teeth and had to have false teeth by the time I was 35. Best wishes Sylvia in Perth WA

With my first, a boy, it was gravy - not instant stuff but proper gravy made from meat juices. Also extra strong mints, that I used to buy by the pound. My second, a girl, Cream Label stout and on one disgusting occasion, pilchards on toast covered with melted cheese - yuk! Magsx

With my first (a daughter) I wanted chips at 2.00 a.m. this in spite of throwing up all day every day for first 4 months. Dr said your body can only go so long without fat and I was craving the greasiest thing. I ate them and could keep them down but husband got fed up after a couple of weeks! Daughter very fond of chips! Second time (a son) could not drink tea/coffee - had a terrible thirst only would drink orange squash made with iced water and suck ice cubes - this in middle of winter - stayed with my g.mother for 2 weeks and all she could say this baby will be born with pneumonia. He only drank squash until he was about 19 and still does! A neighbour gave me the key to her coal shed (it was summer time) her husband went mad when he found her in the shed eating the small shiny pieces of coal.

Ist - 32 years ago - a boy - pickled onions and marmite. He loves both. 2nd - 15 years ago - a girl - wine gums and lemonade. Couldn't touch marmite and she hates it. Also kicked me everytime I ate cheese. She was born with a dairy intolerance, eczema and later developed Asthma and hay fever. Jacky

Can remember rushing home from work for cheese and pickle sandwiches (can't stand them now!), and those little bottles of Mars milk!. I work with a lady who used to nibble coal, sounds daft, but her doctor told her that it contained something that her body lacked at that time!, wonder what it was?..

Hi.mine were green apples with the twins, salt peanuts with the next two and gammon with the final singleton. They say you crave what your body is lacking in terms of the nutrients contained in the various things we crave. Wasn't pregnancy Great! I had five in 4 and a half years Rosemary

Spicey Knik-Knaks (crisps) & egg and salad cream sandwiches. Have read the 'weird' ones for soap & disinfectant. Well, my step-daughter craved persil washing powder (to eat it!) We bought her a bag of palma violet sweets and some fizzy sherbert and the two combined kept her away from the washing machine!!!

My first pregnancy I craved Bounty bars and chips. Spent a holiday in Paris. Bounty was made in Holland and imported-yuk. Got chips/fries everywhere. Unfortunatly I lost the baby. Second pregnancy-daughter- Milky coffee and cream crackers with real butter, marmite and mature chedder cheese. Third pregnancy-twin boys-ditto. Think I needed the calcium! viv

my first was red pop and cheesy jacket potatos, and mint sauce with most stuff. my second was reddy brek for breakfast dinner and fryup for tea, then id throw up,(sorry) i cut out the fryup when my lovely doctor said its not helping your morning sickness, though it lasted all day. i stuck to reddy brek for most meals. did move on to other stuff but cant remember what. we had a young mum come in the shop last week smelling the bottles of dettol . she saw me looking and said sorry i just love that smell, she was waiting for her freind being served. i told her not to worry pregnancy has strange effect on us.
