is it just my chick that doesnt understand that when it comes to beer, a couple is 5 and a few is 10? i dont know, every time i say "lets got for a couple of pints", she thinks i mean 2! i mean whats all that about? if your only going for 2 whats the point in getting ready and making the journey?? might as well stay home for just 2! do i get a prize for being a modern man then? paul...

fair one beverley! i can live with the equality. and perhaps while you go looking for your few bags you could kindly NOT drag me with you and leave me in a pub to enjoy my few pints! paul xx

Bev

Bev Report 1 Oct 2004 13:22

Paul if we didn't drag you with us how would we know if ours bums looked big in it??? and there is another reason if we go alone and find 2 dresses we like one costing £30 and one costing £60, we will get the cheaper one, cos we feel guilty/cannot justify/haven't got the money but if we drag you round 10 shops in two hours making sure the most expensive dress is in the last shop, by that time you are so sick & tired YOU offer to pay for it Dave Kev/terry & you would get on well, He hasn't reached the 21st century yet either lol Bev

Yes, my husband uses "just one more" to mean "I'll be there till they throw me out. He also uses time in the same way. Our children groan when he replies to "how long" with "soon" . "Soon" means when you have nagged me half the week. nell

Usually it's a case of just going for the 'odd one'. Which can be anything from 1, 3, 5, 7, etc!!! Tracey
