now its funny you said all of this, i was in the dentist chair last wednesday, i have had loads of injections, so wasnt to worried, i was lying in the chair, as she was doing my injections, next minute my heart was beating so fast i thought it was going to pop out, then i started to feel as though i was going to faint, so i put my hand up for her to stop, all she said was nealry done, LOL, then she said it must have been a panic attack, so i took it as thats what it was, even though i have had a panic attack and it never felt like that. wow, could have been the injection, as after the heartbeat returned to normal. wow. must admit it did scare me.

An Olde Crone Report 6 Oct 2004 00:16

When my daughter was about 14, very tall and thin, she used to faint a lot, doctor said she had very low blood pressure, not to worry. One morning she fainted twice in about 5 minutes and then had what I took to be a fit, arms and legs twitching, body twitching etc, I have NEVER been so frightened in my life, when she came round I took her straight to emergency. They told me that the "fit" was actually the body's attempt to get blood back into the vital organs which it had left during the faints! and the twitching gets the circulation going again - in other words, her body was responding exactly as it should. Now, as her fainting was caused by very low blood pressure, and Adrenaline kick-starts the circulation (I know this cos I have to frequently give myself adrenaline injections for a life threatening allergic condition), I wonder if your daughters "seizure" was because the adrenalin in the injection was "too strong". Dont know what you'd do about that though, because I dont know why they use adrenalin in dentistry.
