Lisa - you do know that you MUST apply for an events licence to do a balloon release - trust me - I know there are various rules and regs as well pertaining to the balloons - and notes attached must also be biodegrabable

i know your all concerned and i appreciate that but i will not be dictated to by the council.i really need to do this for my friend and i have planned sunday.i will not have time to get a licence so will risk it.honestly i am not being stubborn but am fed up with the council dictating the rules to everyone and this one i will have to breaklolxxxxxxxx(:

If I get a helium balloon I usually keep it until it has lost most of the gas and then take it up the field, let it go and watch it disappear into the distance, taking my cares with it.

Lisa

Lisa Report 6 Oct 2004 16:57

thats a good way brian.i will contact the council but if they refuse me then i will still do it.owe it to my friend xxxx):

Lisa I don;t think it's a problem if you're releasing ONE balloon, but if you're offering to release lots, for each of the people that might reply here, then I'd definitley go for approval first.

Lisa

Lisa Report 6 Oct 2004 17:05

i will probebly have two and just attach names on them and messages.i will check tomorrow with the council and hopefully they will approve it.thanksxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(:

Hi Lisa, could I have one for my nan who passed away in May at the good age of 95, just about. She was a nan in a million and I miss her lots, I drove nearly 200 miles to be with her in her last hour and only just made it I spent the last 45 mins of her life with her and glad that I did, just a little message to go with it, "nan you are always with me" Bev
