Well you lot certainly did stray from the title, didn't you? You're forgiven. I'm still dreaming of a white Xmas, don't know where I'm going, but would be nice to have a real old fashioned white Xmas. Forget all the cars, trains, buses, just sit at home and enjoy the scenery. Bliss!!! Sylvia xxx

it'll be white somewhere of course, but it's unlikely to be white in England. I don't think I can remember a white christmas EVER.

In all my Christmas's in the UK, I've never known a white one. When I lived in Belgium it was so beautiful watching the snow come down late one Christmas eve, we had all the family staying with us that year. We put carols on and lit loads of candels. We all stood in awe just watching it. That was magic. Jo.

There are so many berries on the trees, hawthorn, blackberries etc. round here this year, more than I've seen ever I would say. Does that bode well for a white Christmas?

ooooh i love the thought of a white christmas, but i wouldnt be able to pick my father in law up for his birthday/chritmas lunch, (he lives 40 miles away) and then he would be all alone with just his doggie, so i really hope we dont have one kaz

It would be lovely Sylvia ,and a lot of people reckon we could be in for a bad one this year.I hav'nt seen thetford forest in years Christine, but like you the thought is a nice one ,i delivered a load of building materials to the new camping centre ,and remember thinking how tall those trees were. The last time i saw snow in trees at christmas was totteridge woods ,ages ago when i was collecting holly branches for the decorations ,oh ,happy days and memories.Fred.ptfg.

Love to go walking in Thetford forest, all the fir trees covered in snow, and sparkling in the daylight, it becomes magical!.. but, hate those icy dangerous roads, and having to walk to work because I daren't bike!. Love to see all those snowmen in peoples gardens!.

Oh Gwyneth I do love snow - everyone else cowers indoors and I get dressed up and go for a walk in it!! Never walk much any other time! I do envy you though, to live so near to a sandy beach - would love to have that within easy reach. Maz. XX

It looks lovely and seasonal but I've never really liked snow much. It causes chaos in UK when we have more than a light flurry and could make Christmas travelling/visiting difficult. I do enjoy a fine Boxing Day. If the tide is out we might take a ball onto the sandy beach. Blows away all the cobwebs, as they say. Has anyone heard yet what the forecasters are predicting for this year?

Going to be wet I bet.
