manda we're flying at 6 in the morning, staying thurs fri sat sun night then fly back early hours tues morning. got tues off work to sleep and then back in wed. im leaving tonight coz flying from stanstead and going out in a pub near there tonight and then crash in the airport. xxx diana i've got that. i hope youre not sending me there to upset his whole family and get attacked by the mafia!! that could say anything!! ha ha! i'll let you know the reaction! x

So I presume you are flying into Campino airport.... there wasn't any duty free there in 1999 as it's an ex military airport so don't think you can get goods on the way back!! Rome is fantastic.... there is a restaurant on Piazza Navona.... right had side at the top end with a grey haired chap called Sergio who's english is perfect.... they do the BEST pizza in Rome and he speaks better english than anyone I know.... and it's not expensive considering you can people watch really well... and if it's chilly they will bring out a heater for you!! If you do go there please send him my regards!! He fed me every Tuesday for 3 months and looked out for me big time!! Also try and find Jonathon's.... its a BAR not far from Piazza Navona and it has a roman bath in the toilets..... it is an amazing site!! :O) I can't wait for you to wax lyrical about it on your return.... may just have to book a weekend for myself.... :O) Spanish steps would be good trek practice!! :O)

oh yeah i forgot about her! ha ha! we got a great deal though, £8.99 each for the flights and 4 nights accomm in an apartment for £250. thats good i think! xx

hi manda. no i decided not to. i stood in the jewellery shop the other day looking at rings and i broke out in a cold sweat!! the timing doesnt seem right and having had a failed marriage im a bit over cautious now!! iis her birthday on the 3rd nov so i bought her a digital camera with the money i saved for the ring!!! xxx

thanks for the tips di. im flying with a cheapy airline so we get dropped off an hour away but theres a free bus in to the centre so thats cool. karen of course i havent packed yet!! im working till 5, then home, pack and out the door at 7! got loads of time!! x
